According to a media release, a 51-year-old old man was found dead in a HDB unit located at Jurong West.

The incident happened on the 8th of November 2019 at Jurong West Street 52 on level 6 of Block 516 in the morning at around 7.34 am. Police officers who were the first on the scene managed to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher.
The SCDF later broke through the bedroom window and discovered the 51-year-old, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is unclear what started the fire. The police are currently investigating the fire incident.
