According to a media release, a 52-year-old man was arrested for suspected drug-related after involving in a “Hit and Run” accident involving 4 vehicles.
The accident happened on 19 Jun 2020 at 10.08 AM. The location is at the junction of Sembawang Road and Gambas Avenue.
A video was shared by Roads.sg FB page in regards to the accident. From the video, a black vehicle was seen beating the red light. The vehicle was later seen hitting a blue vehicle which is in the right of the road. The impact of the crash has sent the blue vehicle spinning 360 degrees.
According to the police, the victims were sent to the hospital for treatment after the accident. The driver of the black vehicle was later arrested along Canberra Road after he had fled the scene.
Apparently, the driver was driving without a valid licence and he has taken the car without the owner permission.
Investigations are ongoing.
