53YO WOMAN ALLEGEDLY “LIE” TO POLICE SAY GOT SNATCH THIEF

On 16 January 2021, at about 2 pm, a 53-year-old woman alerted the police of a snatch thief case allegedly reporting false information to them.

Police from Tanglin Police Division then started their investigations. After checking through the CCTV camera footage and tallying with the woman’s statement, they found out that there is some difference with it.

After thorough investigations, the Police reckoned that the woman had given false information regarding the incident and was not the victim of the snatch theft case.

Further investigation is ongoing with her.

According to the Police ” The offense of giving any information which he or she knows to be false to a public servant carries an imprisonment term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine, or with both.
