The car was also recovered.
The man will be charged in court on 19 August 2022 for theft of motor vehicle under Section 379A of the Penal Code 1871, which carries an imprisonment term of up to seven years and a fine.
The man is believed to be involved in another case of theft and traffic-related offences.
Here is what the Police advise:

- Install an anti-theft alarm system and ensure it is well-maintained;
- Remove cash cards and other valuables, such as laptops and mobile phones before leaving the vehicle; and
- Refrain from leaving their vehicle’s key or key fob at their vehicles.
