56-year-old Neo Beng Yeow, pleaded guilty to one count of outraging a 12-year-old girl’s modesty, with another similar charge being considered during his sentencing.
He was sentenced to 20 months imprisonment on 28 July, after molesting the 12-year-old schoolgirl near a bus stop at Bendemeer.
Ng was also sentenced to an extra 10 days imprisonment for reoffending while on a remission order for his previous sentence.

What happened?
On 23 July 2021, Neo approached the victim who was walking toward the bus stop to meet her friends after school.
Neo held the girl’s arm and asked her if she had eaten, to which the girl said no, and Neo then brushed his hand across her chest over her school uniform.
The victim then ran away from him and towards her friends, and Neo then walked towards them and spoke to them, and one of the victim’s friends then took a photo of him.
Neo then ran to the bus stop and got onto a bus and left.
The schoolgirl then started crying and some passers-by stopped to offer help, with one of the kind samaritans making a police report.
The vice principal of the victim’s school then approached the group at the bus stop a while later, and the group then told her (the vice principal) what happened.
The vice principal brought them into the school to wait for the police.
