While waiting for her mother, the young girl was left unattended and wandering around the hair salon by herself, before she managed to get her hands on a pair of scissors and proceeded to cut off a huge portion of another customer’s hair.

Cut off stranger’s hair, woman in tears

The incident took place on 16 May in Guangdong Province, China, as reported by Sing Tao News. The girl’s mother was occupied with her own hair appointment, leaving her daughter unattended.

The salon staff, busy with their tasks, were unable to keep an eye on the mischievous child, giving her the opportunity to acquire the scissors.

Seizing the chance, she approached an unsuspecting female customer and swiftly cut off a chunk of her hair, leaving the customer in shock and tears, as detailed by 8World.

Police report lodged against the girl

In an attempt to rectify the situation, one of the hairstylists suggested that the customer consider a shorter hairstyle. However, the customer refused, expressing her unwillingness to let the matter go unnoticed. Consequently, she decided to file a police report against the girl.

Upon the arrival of the authorities, they intervened and facilitated an agreement between the customer and the girl’s mother. As a resolution, the girl’s mother agreed to compensate the customer with a sum of approximately S$2,192 (Â¥11,500).

Additionally, as reported by the South China Morning Post, the salon will provide the customer with eight complimentary visits, each valued up to S$285 (Â¥1,500), which can be claimed within the next two years.

Moreover, a considerate hairdresser at the salon assisted the customer by attaching hair extensions to mitigate the effects of the unwanted haircut, reducing the “damage” albeit slightly.
