A 61-year-old man has been detained for his alleged participation in a housebreaking and stealing case.

A case of housebreaking was reported to the police on August 24, 2021, in a residential unit along Hougang Avenue 8. Two jade rings, as well as $230 in cash, were allegedly taken.
Officers from the Ang Mo Kio Police Division identified the guy and detained him on August 25, 2021, after conducting ground investigations and using pictures from police cameras and CCTVs. The individual is suspected of being engaged in another housebreaking incident in the area.
On August 26, 2021, the guy will be prosecuted with housebreaking and stealing under Section 451 of the Penal Code. The crime carries a penalty of up to ten years in jail and a fine.
