According to the Police, a 69-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly attacked two hawkers in Tanglin Halt Food Centre.
The incident happened yesterday morning at around 7.15 AM.
The 69-year-old was arrested for voluntarily causing hurt by a dangerous weapon. There have been several reports of fights involving weapons in the month of April.
According to Channel News Asia (CNA), the suspect used a wooden pole to attack a hawker and punched another woman. The man that was attacked by the pole was reported bleeding from his head area.
The victim Mr Wee was preparing food for his stall in the morning, the second victim Ms Wang heard the commotion and ran out with a stick realising that Mr Wee was under attack.
Little did she know that the suspect would later hit her several times before grabbing the stick from her and using it to attack Mr Wee.
The suspect runs a Fish soup stall at a separate part of the Hawker centre, reported CNA
The injured man was sent to the hospital for treatment and later diagnosed with a skull fracture and blood clots in his brain.

Anyone convicted for the offence of voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapon under Section 324 of the Penal Code shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years, or a fine, or caning, or any combination of such punishments.
