71 Y.O DRIVER SEND 2 MAIDS FLYING KILLING 1 DOG

According to a media release, a 71-year-old elderly woman was sentenced to 5 days in jail and banned from driving for 18 months. She collided with two maids and caused serious injury to both of them and even killing one dog in the process.

The incident happened on March 14,2018, Soh Poh Geok was driving along Trevose Crescent towards Plymouth Avenue. She failed to notice the two victims walking along the road.

The two maids, Janet Quisora Valdez and Lorena Marinas Cortez were walking the dog along the road as there was no footpath.

The elderly driver failed to stop the car in time and hit them from behind at around 5.20PM

Ms Valdez had to go for surgery which resulted in 286 days of medical leave while Ms Cortez was warded for 22 days and 61 days hospitalisation leave. One of the dogs died after the accident.
