8-YEAR-OLD GIRL FLUNG OUT OF VAN IN WOODLANDS ACCIDENT, WAKES UP FROM COMA

Lovelynn Tan, an 8-year-old girl who was thrown out of the van that her uncle was driving during a traffic accident at Woodlands on October 23, has woken from her 12-day coma.

She was warded in the ICU following the accident.

The girl had to udnergo emergency surgery after both her legs were broken in the accident, where she also suffered head injuries.

Her father shared in a Facebook post that her condition is improving, with her brain’s swelling reduced and the blood clots dissolving.

But the mobility on the right side of her body has been affected and she’ll need a ionger time to recover.

Following the accident, a fundraising campaign was started by a friend of the girl’s parents, Mr Andy Ang, who raised over $40,000 in donations to help the family financially.
