A 73-year-old man was arrested after allegedly causing the death of an 80-year-old man during a fight that broke out at a Singapore Pools outlet at Marine Parade Central’s Fairprice.
The incident happened on 8 May at about 11am.
Ho Ah Wah, the 73-year-old, was at the Singapore Pools outlet buying betting tickets when he got into an argument with Cheong Hua Kwee.
The argument escalated and Cheong ended up falling onto the ground and hitting his head after being pushed by Ho.
The SCDF later arrived at the scene at about 11.25am and Cheong was conveyed to the hospital, where he later died.
Ho was arrested and charged with one count of a rash act causing death and another count of voluntarily causing hurt on 9 May.
