An 80-year-old woman has also died due to COVID-19 complications. This is already the fifth death in the past 6 days.
In MOH’s press release they said:
Case 65943 – an 80-year-old female Singaporean, has passed away from complications due to a COVID-19 infection on 7 August 2021.
She had developed symptoms on 21 July, and was admitted to Tan Tock Seng Hospital on 23 July after testing positive for COVID-19 infection.
She had not been vaccinated against COVID-19 and had a history of diabetes, hypertension and atrial fibrillation.

In total, 42 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
