82 Y.O MAN KILLED AFTER BEING HIT BY MOTORCYCLE WHILE CROSSING ROAD @ TOA PAYOH

In a heart-wrenching incident that occurred on the evening of Oct. 2, near Block 163 Lorong 1 Toa Payoh, an 82-year-old man’s life was tragically cut short.

The elderly man was conveyed unconscious to the hospital after being struck by a motorcycle while crossing the road, according to Shin Min Daily News.

Eyewitness Testimonies

A female resident living in the vicinity spoke to SMDN and recounted that while she didn’t witness the entire accident, she did see the elderly man lying motionless on the pedestrian walkway. He was dressed in a white shirt and black pants, surrounded by concerned onlookers.

Another resident, Paul, shared his perspective on the incident. Paul had dialed 995, the emergency hotline in Singapore, after discovering the accident.

To his surprise, he learned that the Singapore Civil Defence Force had already been alerted, and two ambulances were already on their way within minutes of being alerted to the accident.

He said that a few nurses were also present at the time and they helped to check on the elderly man’s and the motorcyclist’s injuries.

The Singapore Police Force confirmed their awareness of the incident. They reported that they received the alert around 7:20 pm on that Monday evening.

The elderly man was sent to the hospital unconscious after the accident but later died from his injuries.
