Between April 10 to 14, 2022, the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) apprehended 84 alleged drug offenders in an island-wide narcotics operation. Approximately 231g of heroin, 304g of ‘Ice,’ 36g of ketamine, 113 ‘Ecstasy’ pills, eight Erimin-5 tablets, and 16 bottles of liquid suspected to contain GHB (gamma-hydroxybutyrate) were recovered during the operation. These substances are worth more than $70,000 on the black market.
Hougang, Telok Blangah, North Bridge Road, Jalan Sultan, Ang Mo Kio and Yishun were among the locations covered during this island-wide operation.
A 16-year-old male Singaporean was arrested for alleged drug misuse.
North Bridge Road

On 11 April afternoon, CNB officers arrested two Singaporeans, a 27-year-old male and an 18-year-old woman, in the vicinity of North Bridge Road for suspected drug crimes. A total of 102g of ‘Ice’ and numerous drug paraphernalia were seized from the man’s car.
Officers also raided the man’s alleged hideaway near Jalan Sultan, and other drug paraphernalia was found.
Ang Mo Kio Ave 10

CNB officers searched a residence along Ang Mo Kio Ave 10 on the morning of April 12 and arrested a 55-year-old Singaporean man for alleged narcotics trafficking. Forced entry was carried out because the guy refused to obey the authorities’ legitimate directions. The unit contained about 174g of heroin and 6g of ‘Ice,’ as well as assorted drug accessories.
CNB executed a follow-up operation on the same day to arrest the 55-year-narcotics old’s clientele. Two Singaporean males, aged 44 and 45, were later apprehended in the same area. Both men were found with a small amount of heroin, as well as drug paraphernalia, while the 45-year-old man was also found with drug paraphernalia.

Penalties
 it is an offence for a person, on his or her own behalf, or on behalf of any other person, whether or not that other person is in Singapore, to traffic in a controlled drug, offer to traffic in a controlled drug; or to do or offer to do any act preparatory to or for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug. If a person is found guilty of trafficking more than 15g of pure heroin (diamorphine), he or she may face the mandatory death penalty.
