According to a media release, 89 people were arrested between 11 Jan to 15 Jan 2021 for drug-related offences in CNB operations.
In total, 680g of heroin, 113g of Ice, 25g of cannabis and 109g of new psychoactive substances. The haul also included eight Ecstasy tablets, 11 Erimin-5 tablets and two bottles of methadone. All these drugs are estimated to be $15,000 in market value.
It was reported that the youngest abuser arrested is 16 years old. A couple were also arrested in front of their 5 and 6 years old children. The children were placed in the custody of their next of kin since their parent’s arrest.
In a separated operation, a 41-year-old man was also arrested. $12,000 in cash, a sword and a karambit knife was found in his possession. An extendable baton and two knuckle dusters were also seized at the man’s hideout later on.
Investigations are ongoing.
