In her letter, the girl indicated that she needs her father. She has been waiting for her father to come home. This is the only birthday wish for her for the past few years. However, her father’s appeal against the death sentence was once again rejected by the court.

In the letter, the girl described her interaction with her father to President Halimah whenever she goes for a prison visit. The girl begged for her father’s release stating that she misses him a lot.

Currently, the girl’s father clemency has been filed and pending. If successful, the death sentence can be reduced to life imprisonment.
