95-OCTANE PETROL SURPASSES $3 IN SPORE

Prices of petrol has surged yet again, with the most popular petrol choice, the 95-octane fuel surpassing the $3 mark.

This time, the surge in prices are attributed to the ongoing Russian-Ukraine War.

Shell was the first to raise prices

Shell was the first petroleum company to start raising the prices first, with its 95-octane fuel going up by eight cents to $3.06 per litre.

This followed a few rounds of increases which totalled an amount of 28 cents in the past three weeks.

Other petroleum companies also reaching $3 soon

Other petroleum companies in Singapore are also close to reaching the $3 mark for their 95-octane fuel, with Caltex listing their prices for the fuel at $2.98, Esso and Sinopec at $2.95, and SPC at $2.87 according to a pump price tracker, Fuel Kaki.

Sinopec however, still offers the lowest prices, with its 95-octane fuel going at $2.31.

Diesel: From $2.42 to $2.67
95-octane: From $2.85 to $3.06
98-octane: From $3.34 to $3.55
