The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) said that they are investigating the unauthorised sale and distribution of the Antigen Rapid Test kits (ART) that was manufactured by SG Diagnostics, a company based in Singapore.

According to Straits Times, HSA said that the ART kits by SG Diagnostics are meant to be utilised by healthcare professionals who are trained in using the kits and validate the test results.

The kits, manufactured by SG Diagnostics, are not to be used by untrained users, because they may get results that are not accurate and lead to the delay in getting treatment to them should they be infected with the virus.

ST Diagnostics appealed to consumers to stop using the product.
