
A 69-year old man was arrested by the Police for allegedly being involved in a case of voluntarily causing injury with a dangerous weapon.
The Police received a call at Blk 90 Pipit Road on 23 October 2021, at 11.00 pm. A 51-year old man was found in the residential area at the address with lacerations, and stab wounds. When he was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, he was still conscious. Another victim, a 42-year-old male, suffered a cut to his finger. The victims knew that the attacker was there and that he had fled before police arrived.
Officers from the Bedok Police Division arrested the attacker within an hour after the incident. They used images from CCTV cameras and Police to identify him.
On 25 October 2021, the 69-year old man will be accused of voluntarily causing injury by a dangerous instrument under Section 324. This offence can lead to a sentence of seven years imprisonment, a fine, caning or a combination of each.
