PRCS PANIC BUYING AFTER CHINA GOVT URGED THEM TO STOCK UP DAILY SUPPLIES

According to CNN, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce encourage their people to stockpile daily necessities for emergencies and also to meet their daily needs.

The notice was released on 1 November and pandemonium soon ensued, although the government stopped short of giving any reasons for it.

Photos and videos then surfaced online showing massive crowds surging through the supermarkets, with the scene being reminiscent of the early days of the pandemic where people were panic buying and clearing supermarket shelves globally.

People were also seen fighting with each other to get their hands on the supplies.

Shelves were seen cleared off of the products, leaving them bare.
