Lee is a recalcitrant offender who was previously jailed for s*xual offences against minors.

He was previously jailed for a year in 2015 for engaging in s*xual acts with a 12-year-old girl, before reoffending in 2019 after his prison release and jailed again.

His latest offense represents his third time in jail for offences of the same nature.

What did he do this time?

He met his latest victim via one of the girl’s friends and was fully aware of their age.

He communicated with her on Instagram and on 30 July, he requested a meetup at a playground near Block 283 Bukit Batok East Avenue 3.

The victim was in her school uniform with her friend when they met the man at around 4pm.

They sat with him and he then pinched her cheek and touched her chin, telling her that she would soon get raped.

He then stood up and went behind the girl, touching her hair and cheeks as the girl pushed his hand away.

The girl was uncomfortable with what he just said because she was aware of his criminal past.

Lee then brushed the girl’s chest with his hand and asked her to perform s*xual acts on him, as well as asking her to follow him to his home or to a staircase nearby.

The victim refused and they then left at around 5pm.

The victim then texted him later that evening and told him that she was uncomfortable with his actions, to which Lee said that he wouldn’t do anything from then on.

He asked her to be his girlfriend, wanting to “take responsibility” and told her that he loved her.

The girl then told her mother about the incident and they filed a police report the next day.
