A few cyclists were caught for not wearing their helmets while riding on the road and some were also caught riding their bicycles on the expressway.

Here is their post in full:

“We again conducted joint operations with the Traffic Police over the last two days across Singapore. Locations covered included Kranji Rd, Lor Halus, Mandai Rd, Pasir Ris and Woodlands Rd.

We engaged more than 120 on-road cyclists during our ops to remind them of upcoming cycling rules and guidelines. These include keeping to five in a single file and keeping a safe distance of 30m between them and other groups. #RideSafeStaySafe

We also took the opportunity to remind motorists of the guideline to provide a minimum distance of 1.5m when they pass cyclists.

While most cyclists we came across were responsible and abided by our rules, there were still some who did not do so. Two cyclists were caught for not wearing their helmets on roads #HelmetsOnForSaferRides

In addition to the recent joint ops, we also continue to keep a lookout for cyclists who are riding on expressways and caught a few errant ones over the past two weeks. #NoCyclingOnExpressways.”
