The judge called for probation suitability reports for the two offenders, who were part of a group of 5.

The identities of the victim and offenders cannot be named due to the Children and Young Persons Act protecting persons under the age of 18.

A 14-year-old boy had approached a group of 5 that was having a birthday celebration at a BBQ pit to say hello, but the group then turned on him and took off all his clothes, filming the incident and posting them online.

What happened?

The aggravating group comprised of the two accused, a 14-year-old girl, another 16-year-old who came up with the idea to pull down the victim’s pants after approaching them, and an unidentified male.

The victim was on his e-scooter riding past the BBQ pit at Rishun Ring Road at the time.

he was then restrained from behind and pulled down onto the ground, with two of the boys holding onto his arm on the floor and restraining his legs.

Another boy then undid the victim’s belt and pulled down his pants, before hanging it on a sheltered walkway.

He then hid the victim’s underwear in the bushes, as the victim pleaded for them to stop.

The 14-year-old girl then used her mobile phone to record a video of the incident, before filming another video of the two aggressors taking off the victim’s shirt.

The victim was fully undressed by then and he then escaped and hid behind a nearby bush as the two accused then laughed at him before returning his clothes.

The girl then sent the videos to the rest of the group.

The victim asked them to delete the videos and was assured that they wouldn’t circulate them. However, a staff member from the victim’s school then found the videos circulating online, and the discipline master was then informed about it.

A police report was then subsequently made.

The two offenders are due to return to court for their sentencing on 28 January.
