So this is kinda a question/experience, when I was younger I used to constantly see a shadow in the corner of my eye.
While that’s not really unusual since tons of people see things like that, what makes it a bit more strange is that it would be in the shape of a person. It was just a black silhouette but I could tell it was wearing a hat and long coat of some kind. It would usually be standing in doorways but as soon as I turn my head there would be nothing there.
There were even a few times I would be walking from one room to another or turning a corner and I’d almost see it clearly standing in a hallway/doorway before backtracking and seeing nothing there.
It could easily have just been my imagination, especially since I saw it a lot more as a child, I just thought it was interesting that it was always the same shape. I was wondering if anyone else experienced something similar, If so than what is this shadow person? Is it my imagination or is it something else?
Here are what netizens think:
- I remember reading that the shadow ina top hat is a really common shadow figure. Sometimes it is a malevolent energy. Sometimes it does nothing but let itself be seen. Try googling it itll come up!
- Bro, this sounds like the exact figure I’d have nightmares about. And yes, especially when you mentioned feeling like you see the figure passing the doorway and doubling back to see nothing, yes…I felt the same thing a lot!
- That was my very first reoccurring nightmare that I couldn’t stop as a kid. Like 6 or 7 years old being traumatized by this figure. I’d see the silhouette of chubby inspector gadget dressed man from across the hall behind the fire exit door,, trench coat and top hat…and right away he just opens the staircase door and starts running after meÂ
