In the latest(Jan 19) bidding of Certificate of Entitlement (COE) the prices across all classes of vehicles has increased.

The latest COE bidding prices
- For cars up to 1,600cc – $57,898
- Cars above 1600cc – $82,001
- Commercial Vehicles – $43,001
- Motorcycle – $10,000
- Open – $83,911
For CAT A, the prices increased by 0.5%, CAT B increased by 5.5%, CAT C 1.9%, Motorcycle increased 3.2% and Open category increased by 1.7%.
Car salesman spoke to Singapore Uncensored:
We asked a car salesman what is the reason for the increase and this was his response:
“Yes, the prices have been steadily increasing and of course, this is due to demand. At least 40% of our customers stated that they want to buy a vehicle to avoid taking public transport due to the ongoing situation in Singapore.”
