A 50-year-old man was arrested for his suspected involvement in a series of loanshark harassment incidents.
The police said in a news release that they were alerted on 16 January to a case of loanshark harassment along Jalan Tiga.
The perpetrator allegedly threw joss papers at the door of a residential unit, along with a debtor’s note.
Police officers from Bedok Police Division soon established the identity of the man using CCTV images through follow-up investigations.
He was subsequently arrested within 24 hours.
Preliminary investigations revealed that he was allegedly involved in other cases of loanshark harassment across Singapore.
One mobile phone was also seized by the police.
