PORSCHE DRIVER LITTERING ON ROAD BECAUSE THE WORLD IS HIS DUSTBIN

A video emerged online showing the driver of a Porsche 911 littering on the road while waiting at a traffic stop.

The driver was seen opening his car door, and when the vehicle drove forward, a piece of crumpled tissue paper was seen on the road.

The incident happened on 24 January at around 12.09pm, along Philip Street, and was captured on the dashcam of a vehicle behind.

Potential penalties

Littering is an offence in Singapore and is defined as dropping, placing or throwing any article or thing in a public place except a rubbish bin.

Persons caught littering face a fine of up to $2,000 for the first offence, as well as the possibility of Corrective Work Order.
