NETIZEN SHARES HER “TIPS” ON HOW TO “SNATCH” A SEAT INSIDE THE MRT

A netizen shared how she has over 10+ years’ worth of experience riding SMRT and would like to “impart some tips on how to maximize your chances of snatching a non-priority seat” in the MRT.

Here is the story:

Hey guys, for those of us making 1-2h train trips over the next few days to visit relatives, I thought that in the festival spirit of sharing, I would impart some tips on how to maximize your chances of snatching a non-priority seat I gathered over 10+ years of riding SMRT:

1) Avoid the green and blue seats. Always super crowded, virtually 0% chance of a seat, and worst of all filled with virgin chikopeks waiting to eat your tofu when the train jerks.

2) For the pink/orange seats at each end of a train, there are 4 doors. Avoid queueing at 1st and 4th doors, because they lead to the never-empty 2-seater, so your chance decreases by 50%.

3) 2nd-left and 3rd-right doors are the best; 2nd-right and 3rd-left should be considered 2nd choice because SMRT sometimes tries to be cute and sends trains with the middle compartment MISSING. I got burned more than once by this stunt. Not funny bro
