A video emerged online showing an errant cyclist riding illegally on the expressway, he was seen cycling along the AYE heading towards MCE.

The incident happened earlier today ( 2 February) at about 2.45pm, along the AYE.
The cyclist was seen cycling at the side of the expressway and he was caught on a passing car’s dashcam.
Potential penalties
Under the Active Mobility Act (AMA), which came into effect in May 2018, it is an offence to ride bicycles and electronic bikes on the expressways.
Persons caught riding bicycles on the expressways face a fine of up to $2,000 and/or a jail term of up to 6 months.
