A netizen, Cindy Ong, shared a few screenshots of a Whatsapp conversation with her mother-in-law, lamenting how she married into their “wicked family”.
The mother-in-law, whom she saved as “aunty”, was seen in the messages asking her when is she going to divorce her son, asking her not to “delay my son’s search for his own happiness”.
Cindy then asked her what she meant by that, to which “aunty” then said that she can’t have a grandson for her, and that she “can’t give me a grandson, won’t our family have no descendants?”
The netizen then alluded to her son allegedly beating a woman (the woman who was beaten is presumably Cindy’s mother, as seen from later texts)
Aunty then reasoned that her own husband has also beaten her before, and she asked why Cindy couldn’t “just tolerate him” as his wife.
Cindy then remarked “what a strange family”, to which Aunty said “i don’t ask too much of you, as long as you can give birth to a grandson for me. If you can’t do it, leave the marriage quickly and don’t delay my son.”
She then asked Aunty how she was going to compensate her as her (Cindy’s) mother was beaten by her (Aunty’s) son and sent to the hospital.
Aunty then said “it’s your mother, it has nothing to do with me. I only care if you can give me a grandson.”
