Former actor Ix Shen, who is one of at least 9 Singaporeans still in Ukraine following Russia’s invasion of the country, shared an update on his situation in Ukraine.
He posted a video on day 5 of the invasion, allaying fears and assuring people that he is well and safe in Ukraine.
He was seen in the video queueing up outside a supermarket in Kyiv, as he waited to restock supplies.
Morale is high, everything is good
Speaking in both English and Mandarin, Shen said:
“Good morning, yeap. Last night was relatively quiet, everyone slept well. All is okay and safe.
As you can see, everyone is queueing up and waiting for the supermarket to open so we can restock our supplies.
Morale is high, everything is good.”
Shen then repeated his message in Mandarin, before ending his video by flashing an “okay” sign for his viewers.
