Home Affairs Minister of Singapore, K Shanmugam posted on his Facebook page to honour Female officers from the Home Team today (8 Mar) which is International Women’s Day (IWD) 2022.
He shares that the theme for IWD 2022 is #breakthebias and that Female Home Team Officers do just that as they are working on the frontlines in dangerous situations to protect Singaporeans and the public.
He also said that he has been sharing stories over the years of exceptional women including Home Team officers and he hopes that their stories will continue to inspire the next generation of women officers.

This year’s IWD theme is #BreakTheBias.
Female Home Team officers do exactly that. They are on the frontlines, working in dangerous situations, protecting us.
I have been sharing stories of many exceptional women, over the years – including our HT officers.
Their examples will hopefully inspire the next generation of women officers.
Today we celebrate International Women’s Day, we honour women.”
