The Singapore Customs posted an update yesterday about a 29 year old male Malaysian being arrested and more than 1,000 cartons of cigarettes being seized.

[One arrested, more than 1,000 cartons of duty-unpaid cigarettes seized]
On 12 Mar 2022, Singapore Customs arrested a 29-year-old male Malaysian, and seized 1,020 cartons of duty-unpaid cigarettes and two vehicles in an operation conducted in the vicinity of Tuas South Walk.
The total duty and Goods and Services tax evaded amounted to about $87,100 and $6,930 respectively. Court proceedings against the man are ongoing.
