MAN FINED $600 FOR TRESPASSING INTO SEMBCORP MARINE TO FISH

Ahmad Danial Mazlan, 28-years-old, was fined $600 for trespassing into government premises to fish.

One other charge was considered during his sentencing.

His compatriot, Muhammad Fikri Eshak, 27-years-old, was given a warning.

What happened?

on 28 August 2021 at around 2.15pm, the duo went to Tuas View Extension to fish, walking along the fence trying to look for an entry into a restricted area that was managed by JTC.

They were walking near the shoreline when they saw an opening at about 2.35pm, where they then entered the area with their fishing gears and fished at the lagoon.

They then left at about 7.15pm before being caught by the police, following a tip off by a member of the public.
