A 41-year-old man who was purportedly cycling along the road of Seletar North Link, allegedly lost control of his bicycle and fell on his head face down.
He was conveyed to the hospital unconscious and subsequently pronounced dead, with a spokesperson for the police saying that he had died of “natural causes”.
The incident happened on 22 March, and the SCDF said that they received a call for help at about 9.55pm, and the man was taken to Sengkang General Hospital unconscious.
The police also said that they received a call for help at about 10.06pm.
A Facebook user, Terry Lim, shared about the incident on the Singapore Cycling Community Facebook page:
“Please be extra careful when cycling along the road of Seletar North Link. There are gravels along the stretch of road due to heavy construction tucks travelling along this route in recent years.
A tragedy happened on Tuesday night at 9.50pm where a cyclist lost his control and fell on his head face down.
The casualty passed away from the fall.
