4 MEN FINED FOR CLARK QUAY NEW YEAR EVE GATHERING

On New Year’s Eve, a video went viral filming hundreds of participants that filmed the count down the party.

Four men that were part of the gathering have been fined S$1,500 for failing to keep a 1-meter distance from others.

The four men are

  • 21-year-old Shyama Kumar Sharath
  • 22-year-old Ateesh Ashutosh Rao
  • 22-year-old Kevan Loh Wei Kang
  • 22-year-old Declan Goh

The four of them were at a bar on New years eve.

How they were caught?

Thanks to social media, there were a few people filming Youtube videos and interviewing people, Goh failed to wear a mask and acted as a referee for two other men who were wrestling.

Loh appeared in a photo without social distancing and a mask.

Penalties:

First-time offenders who breach safe distancing measures are fined $300.

For non-compliance with safe management measures under the COVID-19 rules, offenders may be jailed for up to six months, fined up to S$10,000, or both.

If they are caught by the Police for not wearing a mask or not wearing a mask properly they can be charged under the Covid-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020.

Penalties include a fine of up to SGD$10,000 and jailed for up to six months.
