TAXI PARKS AT DROP-OFF POINT & BLOCKS WHOLE ROAD, INSISTS ITS A TAXI STAND

A video emerged online showing a taxi driver stopping his car at a drop-off point and allegedly insisting that it is a taxi stand when confronted.

The incident took place at the slip road in front of Joo Chiat Complex on 4 April at about 10.10am.

The camcar driver, who captured the video, said that there was a prominent “no waiting” sign at the entrance.

He added that the traffic behind the taxi was held up as a result.

Here is the camcar’s statement

“Taxi driver SHC8312L parked and waited at drop-off point and he insisted that is it a taxi stand when confronted.

The “no waiting” sign is clear at the entrance of the slip-road and beside where the taxi is stopping.

Traffic behind him was held up and eventually have to reverse out into the main road due to his ignorant and selfish act.”
