The 57-year-old man is the sole proprietor of a law firm, Laurence Goh Eng Yau & Co, and he is expected to be sentenced on 29 April.

The incident happened on 12 September 2019, and Goh was driving on the AYE heading towards Tuas at about 5pm.

He was driving at about 75 to 80km/h on a road with a speed limit of 90km/h, and at about 5.19pm, Goh noticed that the car in front of him had stopped due to congestion in front.

Goh then abruptly swerved his car into the second lane on his left and avoid a collision.

However, he did not check to make sure there was oncoming traffic and sideswiped the deceased’s motorcycle, causing the motorcyclist to end up in the path of an oncoming lorry.

The driver of the lorry was unable to stop in time, and rolled over Wong before stopping.

The police were informed of the accident at about 5.20pm and Wong was then pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
