36 Y.O MAN JAILED AFTER MOLESTING COLLEAGUE WHO IS 15 YEARS YOUNGER

A man was recently jailed after he molested his colleague. Due to a gag order, the victim and the defendant cannot be named.

According to Straits Times, the man is a senior colleague of the victim and they work in a government agency related to Singapore borders.

The 36-year-old man was sentenced to 6 months in jail after pleading guilty to two charges of sexual assault.

Background of harassment at the workplace

The man worked in a government agency as an officer, he made rude remarks about the victim’s body through Whatsapp and eventually touched her from behind.

The man constantly sends her rude Whatsapp messages between the period of March 2020 and December 2020, but the victim choose to ignore the messages, Channel News Asia (CNA) reported.

In the messages that the defendant send include:

  • “Swear if I single … we’ll be flirting hard haha”
  • “Nice Bum”
  • “Bum are actually my witness”

With a colleague trying too hard and harassing the victim choose to ignore or changed the topic.

Groping the victim

On 30th December 2020, the man made lewd comments on her body again and eventually started to touch her buttocks, even after the victim tried to avoid him he continued to do it and grab her buttocks.

Later on in the day, the man groped her breast.

The victim eventually told her boyfriend about the incident and aa Police report was made.
