Jurong GRC MP Xie Yao Quan, who replaced Ivan Lim in GE2020 following the latter’s withdrawal from the elections, has since provided an update into what Lim has been doing since he stepped down as a candidate.
Posting on Facebook, Xie revealed that Lim has been volunteering in Jurong Central and has been a key member of the team of volunteers.

In the last 21 months, I have been continually inspired by the dedication and perseverance of our volunteers in Jurong Central.
Ivan has been a key member of the team, leading several educational and other support programmes for lower-income residents.
I am grateful to him for his contributions to the community, and look forward to working with him and the rest of my team to do the very best for our residents.
