A customer at Lau Pa Sat has recently had an unfortunate encounter with dishonest staff who claims that the price on the menu are no longer valid and attempts to cheat customers to pay more.
Here is what she said:
Went to Ming Yen seafood at Lau Pa Sat to order stingray BBQ. Went straight to the cashier, ask me to order from one aunty. Told her I want medium size but she told me $20. I told her it’s $16 on the menu, she said that’s old price. So I pass her $20, she took and go to cashier pass the money, cashier return her $4. She knew I was behind, she just quickly told the cashier to keep it first.
I waited for the stingray and when it come, look at the $20 medium size stingray. I feel now a day those shops in Lau Pa Sat are cheating customers by doing this kind of tricks.

- Ya, one time I also went Lau Pa Sat food court and order satay, I order 20 stick for 50 dollar. Lau Pa Sat start being angmo style already
