Nagaenthran K. Dharmalingam is a name which is often seen in recent news of his mother and various groups trying to halt his execution after he was caught in drug trafficking.
Despite concerted efforts at appealing the decision, his death sentence is has been carried out earlier today (April 27).
Execution confirmed
Earlier today, Reuters reported that Nagaenthran’s brother has confirmed that the execution has been done.
His wake is currently held at 38 Sin Min Drive.

The funeral will then be completed by 4 PM today and repatriated back to his home town at Ipoh, Malaysia.
Background:
He was convicted back in November 2010 after he was caught with a number of drugs strapped to his body.
An appeal for his sentencing was made in 2011 and 2017 but both appeals were dismissed by the court.
In 2019, an appeal was made again and even a letter was written to the president but it was not successful.
