A netizen shared a video of snaking long queues for boats waiting to board the ferries heading towards Pulau Ubin yesterday (2 May).
The netizen who shared the video on his TikTok account, @botakbonsai, had wanted to visit Pulau Ubin but was met with hundreds of other people wanting to do the same as well.
The lines were so long that people were seen queuing from the ferry terminal all the way to Changi Village, with many of them seen with luggage, picnic equipment and bicycles.
Some of the netizens commented on the video, asking “Pulau Ubin sinking or what? What’s with the sudden rush to go there?”
To which another netizen replied, “Bangkok flights full, causeway Jam, go Ubin also jam?! People really wanna get out of the country.”
Another netizen shared a more realistic view, saying that “if I’m planning to go Ubin and I see this queue, I’m heading back home.”
Another video uploaded earlier today (3 May) by TikTok user @bipengigi, showed the queues still going strong for entry into Ubin.
Maybe just stay at home and watch TV sua.
