ANG MOHS SELLING CHRYSANTHEMUM FLOWERS FOR MOTHERS’ DAY BECAUSE GOT “MUM” IN THE NAME

An Instagram user shared how she found chrysanthemum flowers being sold in Australia as mothers’ day presents.

In Chinese culture, chrysanthemum flowers and usually used in Chinese funerals, withe the netizen referring to the flowers as “bai bai hua” (or praying flowers).

The chrysanthemum flowers in the video were seen being available in different colours, with a few netizens offering their explanations for why they were being sold as mother’s day presents.

One netizen said that the chrysanthemum flower is a popular present to give in Australia because Chrysanthemum has the word “mum” in it.

Other netizens pointed out that giving chrysanthemum flowers to your own mother is a bad idea, and that it is essentially wishing death upon your own mother.
