A fire broke out on board a ferry that saw at least 7 people dead, with the passengers forced to jump overboard the burning craft.
The incident happened in the Philippines, and the fire broke out on the Mercraft 2 that was carrying 124 passengers from Polillo Island to Real town in Quezon.
At the time of writing, search operation for survivors are ongoing.
7 people have died so far from the fire and 120 have been rescued, about of a total of 134 passengers and crew that were on board.
Captain Brunette Azagra, whose passenger vessel was about 500m away from the burning ferry, said that they were able to rescue 40 survivors, although they had 2 fatalities.
21 people have been taken to the hospital.
