The bus driver, 66-year-old Singapore permanent resident Loo Eng Chai, was also disqualified from driving for 5 years.
He had pleaded guilty to one charge of causing grievous hurt to 6 people by committing a negligent act during the incident.
Among the many injured was the driver of the other bus, 65-year-old Mohammed Salleh Mian, and a bus captain was taking a break at the interchange at the time of the incident, 57-year-old Alias Mokson.
