A netizen shared a video of a young man playing an emotional song on the piano for his critically ill mother at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
The netizen, Christopher Pereira, said that he could feel the sadness flowing into the ward, as the song that the guy was playing was apparent for those who are dying.
Pereira said that he spoke to the guy, who was dressed in his SAF uniform, and learned that the song was his mother’s favourite.
He added that he also noticed that the guy was crying while playing the song, but he didn’t want to ask too much and bother him.
Pereira further added that towards the end, the guy received a phone call, which he deduced was a call with bad news about his mother.
He said that the guy became emotional after the phone call and that was when he knew, that she was gone.
Here is what the netizen said (SIC)
“Can feel the sadness flowing into the ward of TTSH.
Chat with this army guy, told me his mother’s favourite and as you can see came with his full pack.
Emotional for me because the music is for those who are dying now. I saw a tear in his eye and did not want to ask too much, I walk away sad knowing he is playing for his mum.
We all have problems but when someone dearest is about to leave, it seems life becomes priceless, and we should have done more, if only we had a 2nd chance.
Towards the ending he got emotional so I stop the video and felt that phone call came for him with bad news.
see on top the piano was his Hp…that was the last ring I believe and become emotional, I wanted to walk up to him but I knew.”
