JOHOR-WOODLANDS KTM TRAIN SERVICES SET TO RESUME ON 19 JUNE

The KTM train service between Johor Bahru and Woodlands will resume on 19 June after a 2-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

Tickets will start selling on 13 June for trips from 19 June to 18 July, according to Wee Ka Siong, the Transport Minister of Malaysia.

He said that there will be 18 trips from JB Sentral to Woodlands and 13 from Woodlands to JB Sentral, with a total of 31 trips every day.

An estimated 7,000 passengers are expected to be using the service daily, and each trip has a capacity of 320 passengers and a frequency of 30 minutes between the trains.

Wee added that passports will be used by the passengers as their official tickets when checking in at JB Sentral and Woodlands station, prior to boarding.

He further added that “Passengers can buy tickets using the KITS online system or at ticket counters and passengers are required to register and enter their passport number before purchasing a Tebrau shuttle ticket.”
