A netizen shared photos of more than a dozen orders of food from McDonald’s sitting on the tables being uncollected by food delivery riders.
The photos were shared on the GrabFood Delivery Driver Singapore Facebook Group last week.
Some of the netizens who are food delivery riders commented on the posts claiming that the outlet doesn’t prioritise their orders, and that they prepare the dine in and takeaway orders first.
As a result, the riders have to wait for very long to pick up their orders.
One rider highlighted that McDonald’s outlet for having a reputation of being very slow in preparing delivery orders, and riders don’t want to end up waiting there.
McDonald’s Singapore spoke to AsiaOne and said that they are aware of the incident at Elias Mall and cited the wet weather for being the reason the delivery items were delayed in being collected.
They also said that all the orders that day were collected and cleared within 20 minutes of the orders being ready.
