The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said in a Facebook statement that they were alerted to a fire on the 3rd floor of a waste recycling workshop on 4 July at about 12.25pm.
The fire involved waste paper and electronics and about 80 firefighters were deployed to fight the fire, with a total of 4 water jets being used to contain and prevent the fire from spreading.

At about 12.25pm today (4 July), SCDF was alerted to a fire at the above-mentioned location.

The fire, which involved waste paper and electronic products, was confined to the 3rd floor of a waste recycling workshop.
At the height of the firefighting operation, a total of four water jets were used to contain and prevent the fire from spreading. The firefighters then moved carefully into the building to extinguish the fire at the affected floor.
The fire was extinguished within one and a half hours.
Nine persons evacuated the premises before SCDF’s arrival. There were no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
